Limits of Human Abilities was first created as a short film in 1984 and presented at Nieme Kino in Lodz, Poland.
A photographic version of The Limits of Human Abilities was shown in 1986 as part of a large thematic exhibition entitled Recordings (Zapisy), presented at BWA art exhibition centre in Lublin, Poland. The work was shown also in 1988, at the 4th International Triennial of Drawing, in Wroclaw, Poland and the same year at Pleiades Gallery, Athens, Greece as part of The Young Generation of Polish Constructivism exhibit. In 1989 the work was shown in Project-Galerie New Space, in Fulda, Germany.

Fifty copies of the handmade book version were created in 1985, and distributed and shown in 1992 at Pages and Books, in the Centre For Contemporary Art, Warsaw, Poland and in 1993 at the International Artist’s Book Exhibition, the in the National Gallery of Hungary, Budapest.
